MINISTER REAPPOINTS KEITH ELLIS AS CHAIR RDA PERTH 

The Assistant Minister for Regional Development and Territories, the Hon. Nola Marino MP, has finalised appointments of Chairs of Regional Development Australia (RDA) Committees across Australia.

“I am pleased to announce the reappointment of Keith Ellis as Chair of RDA Perth to 30 June 2025,” the Assistant Minister said.

Keith has a long history in marketing and leading local government, having been the Shire President for Serpentine Jarrahdale. Keith has led RDA Perth over a number of years with the development of state-wide initiatives such as Lithium Valley and Security and Defence in Western Australia: An Economic Perspective.

Keith will lead RDA Perth under a refreshed RDA Charter and capital city RDA focus to identify and connect Western Australia’s regions through economic development and identifying investment opportunities that will help to create regional jobs and economic growth for our regions. This will build on the good work already undertaken by RDA Perth in these areas.

Facilitating economic development in the Perth region

Regional Development Australia (RDA) Perth forms part of the RDA Network, an Australian Government initiative that aims to bring together all levels of government to enhance the growth and development of regional Australia.RDA Perth is one of 55 committees established Australia-wide, and one of nine based in Western Australia. We aim to facilitate economic development in the Perth region by working across local, state and federal government, community and industry.The RDA Perth boundary covers 29 metropolitan local governments, extending from Rockingham and Armadale in the south, Mundaring and Kalamunda in the east and Wanneroo and Swan in the north.We are dedicated to advising and collaborating with key stakeholders to support a vibrant and prosperous Perth region. This will be done through planning initiatives, providing objective and relevant information, and involving regional stakeholders in collaborative partnerships. Our core audience consists of local, state and commonwealth government agencies, domestic and international businesses and industry, and the various communities within the Perth Region.Our key services include:
